Privacy
Your searches, routes and names stay on your phone. If you join a household or circle, its names travel between the phones in it as encrypted blobs through our relay; the relay stores what it cannot read and keeps no access log. When the map streams an area you haven’t downloaded, our file host (Cloudflare) serves the tiles you’re looking at; we keep no access log and there is no account. Once a day the app tells our server it was opened, with the app version and a random installation id made on your phone; the id isn’t tied to you or your names, and we use it only to count how many devices use the app. The full privacy policy has the detail.
